as usual =Verlidaine your artwork is amazing. the lantern caught my eye as well as the blue background did. such a bright color for a dark and eerie character. the face is so expresssive on this guy and it just looks as if he is floating in the dark while doing a creepy and nonchalant laugh in the night. the little black and white symbols also give it a nice to feel as well. I certaintly do love the way this guy is drawn as most of the attention is drawn to him and not anything else. i can't wait to see even more art from you. you are an inspiration to a lot of people on DA

I seem to lean toward critiquing your art, there's just something about it I love.

Character- Brilliantly done! The facial anatomy is great, I find face profiles at those angles to be quite hard, tough maybe it's just me. the anatomy looks great, and I especially love those paws! The legs (and paws of course) have good depth and muscle tones, although on the front paw that's raised, the dewclaw looks slightly odd, perhaps placed oddly or it's too high. The only thing that seems to be bothering me is the head tuft of hair. I just looks sorta flat. And I personally don't think the mouth should be showing through the hair, but that's just me. The fur looks somewhat stiffer than you usually do, but it has good texture.

Background- Lovely! It's simple, yet subtle. It's very bright, but not awkwardly bright, and it helps make the character stand out. And also, I love that lantern. It's a really neat touch, especially the dim aurora around it.
